    As a study to estimate the behavior of teachers and students from class videos, various behaviors of students that may occur during lectures and lecture situations based on such behaviors were obtained by overcoming differences in posture of each student in the same behavior and differences in behavior taken by each student in the same lecture situation.

    We analyzed information on the line of sight of teachers and students in classes, conducted research on visualization of class situations and learning histories, and organized information that can be used to support students' learning.

    In our project, we developed methods for measuring 3D scene in highly-degraded scene due to light scattering, especially scenes that are hard to observe objects due to heavy scattering. We focused on three major methods for shape measurement (photometric stereo, ToF, multi-view stereo) and developed methods that estimate both scattering components and scene shape/depth. We also modeled light transport model under light scattering. We developed and evaluated a Deep-learning-based method for hazy scene and confirmed the effectiveness of our method.

    In this project, we pay attention to human's hand-writing process and its importance in education. We developed a prototype system of collecting hand-writing process data using Digital Paper Terminals of SONY, and a system to visualize the collected data as animation. For evaluation of these systems, we also collected hand-writing process data using problems that ask questions in four educational fields in Kyoto University. We also discussed creation of platform to share hand-writing process data taking international standard of educational data into account.
